LMS Strategies in Higher Education

According to the 2009 ECAR Study of Undergraduate Students and Information Technology LMS student use increased from 79.7 percent in 2006 to 91 percent in 2009. In 2008 the Campus Computing Project reported the percentage of college courses that use an LMS had risen from 14.7 percent in 2000 to more than 53.5 percent in 2008. In 2001 only 41.8 percent of colleges and universities reported a strategic plan for LMS deployment. In 2008 that number was 63.5 percent.
