Part2-Contributing to the World’s Greatest Training and Development Search Engine

Welcome to part 2. Very quickly, we invite you to submit for inclusion into our search engine, any training, development, and learning websites that you feel fit our criteria, as follows:

  • contains original, innovative articles, content, exercises, or has similar merits. Sites that have little free content and exist primarily as advertisements will not be included.
  • has clear value to professionals in training, development, or learning fields, or for those interested in learning about the content of those fields.
  • makes content available free of charge, and that does not require registration to access.

Remember, it’s content, and not slickness or reputation, popularity or traffic that we are interested in. We will look at the ratio of free content/advertising on the site, and that will be weighted considerably.

What’s In It For You?

If you own a relevant website of quality, then you may know that it’s difficult to get found on the Internet, particularly because larger association and corporate sites almost always get displayed first in the search engine results. Apart from weeding out sites that do not provide useful information about the field, we are also “leveling the field” a bit, by trying to find some of the best, less known sites, and help them become known.

So, in short, if you have a site with good content, you may be able to increase traffic and exposure.

In addition, whether you own a site or not, you can have the satisfaction of helping us (at least) try to create a community type resource for training and development. So please submit any sites you think have significant merit.

How?

Easy, leave a comment here. It’s that simple. Later on, we’ll have other avenues set up, but for now, just leave a comment with the relevant urls, and if possible some information about the sites.

We thank you. This should be interesting.

Part 3 of the series about The World’s Greatest Training and Development Search Engine will be about how you can use it while at the same time helping us make this work.

  1. MyTrainingExpert.com differs from standard online training brokers as the site includes expert advice, information and free guides, forms and templates covering all aspects of training. Free telephone support is available from experienced learning advisors who can give SMEs unbiased advice on training needs, training methods and course selection.

Users can search the site for subjects and see an overview of each training course, with the benefits, the dates and duration, the locations, the provider and the price. User reviews for all courses will be added. The site provides free reporting and records management to help SMEs keep track of their learning – which is particularly important for compliance and health & safety training – as well as access to ‘last minute’ bargains.

One client has said, “This is the easiest and most cost effective way to access hand-picked training courses that have been tried and tested by large companies”

  2. My website covers business writing training, presentation skills training and media and crisis communications training. It also includes my monthly newsletters as well as articles on several topics.

I appreciate this opportunity, and wish you the best of luck.

  3. Company website that contains links to its free training blog and weekly video training tips. Online store with customer service training and link to a Diploma in Training and assessment run by the company

  4. My research website of five years defining the human process of knowledge management to develop astute professionals. Definitions, varied learning models, dozens of full length case studies, evidence based references. Non-commercial.

  5. Hi

This site contains concise, practical tips for new managers in the area of time management, presentation skills, communication, leadership, conflict, change, teamwork, performance appraisal, motivation and training.

The content is based on 30 years working as a management/training consultant.
I have been fascinated by what works (and what doesn’t) in terms of management and leadership. I hope this site will give you food for thought.
