What Is The TrDev Toolbar?

A toolbar lives at the top of your Internet Explorer or Firefox browser, taking up almost no space until you want to access it's features.

From the toolbar you can

• Search some special sites we've identified as useful
• Access audio programs related to training, elearning, public speaking, instructional design
• Access text articles (including free to reprint) related to training, group leadership
• Communicate with us and receive messages about discounts and free giveaways, and access toolbar documentation

• Access instructional videos related to training and development
• Chat live with other trainers, OD consultants, facilitators
• ...and much more

Here (below) is a look at the menu for text articles, to give you an idea of what is or may be available. Of special note is the ability to read the TrDev-L discussion list out of Penn State, from your toolbar if you choose, and to use their web interface to respond.

What About Safety and Control?

First, our partners, Conduit, are the same folks who also work with Major League Baseball and Greenpeace (among others), so they are a respected company.

Second, the toolbar is completely under your control. Uninstall it if you want. Change the options. Hide it completely. It's up to you. No personal information about you is sent anywhere, and the features -- everything in fact, are completely under your control. We've been using these toolbars for some time with no problems.
